Specialists say that our hears can operate at maximum capacity as long as we’re not sedentary and adopt a healthy diet, balanced and rich in foods that can clean arteries. But which are these foods?
We’ve made a short list with three of them, which, besides their abilities to clean arteries, are excellent sources of antioxidants, fiber and healthy fats, improving blood flow and eliminating toxins responsible for most cardiovascular diseases.
Many people avoid eating it because of its specific smell, not very appealing, and its taste, which can be bitter if it’s not prepared correctly. Still, what few people know is that asparagus is a miraculous vegetable that besides cleaning arteries, is very rich in minerals and vitamins (K, B1, B2, C and E).
According to studies conducted by researchers at the National Institute of Health and Medicine in the United States, avocados, consumed daily, alone or in various dishes, can regulate the “bad” cholesterol level, reduce by 22% the level of triglycerides in blood and increase by 11% the level of “good” cholesterol. The latter protects the inner walls of blood vessels, preventing heart attacks.
Walnuts and almonds
Rather than eating potato chips, popcorn, flavored puffs or other junk food between meals, consider some raw almonds and walnuts. Together! Raw almonds, not the fried ones, immersed in salt, contain monosaturated fats, vitamin E, fiber and protein, maintaining the good health of your heart.
Walnuts, on the other side, are an excellent source of linoleic acid, enhancing blood flow, regulating blood pressure and reducing inflammation in the heart arteries.
